Check your fuses - sometimes its the one to the ignition that goes bad, and for no reason at all.

Can you have someone jump start the car? If the car wont start even with a jump, the battery is probably the least of your worries. It could be many things, like maybe a bad wire on the ignition system. Check the belt on your alternator to make sure it's still there too.

What lights aren't coming on? Dash board or headlights?
Headlights yes, dash no - Need to bring to a mechanic shop to accurately trace the problem
No headlights- check both battery connections as was said and the battery..... If you drove it before.. the gauges sweeping to 100 mph is one clue sometimes the battery is going out...

Not sure if that year has it but in the fender there might be a small maybe 2inch cylinder that is between battery cable and the starter cable, i call it the starter relay, but other than that not too sure what else besides what has already been mentioned.

Try cleaning your battery cable connections. If that doesn't work check you fuses. If you get a clicking sound you may need a new solenoid or possibly a starter. They are separate items on Fords.

Id say a battery. If you have a autozone or aother parts store they should check the battery for free. If you can boost it off and it starts take it to the store and let them check it. They will also replace it for free.
