Carrots...
My cousin in North Carolina wore glasses, after a regiment of carrots on a daily basis, making her skin turn orange in the process, she no longer wears glasses...
Here's the same question posted by someone else...its got good suggestions as well...

I have had glasses since I was six years old (I'm now 27). I also have been an avid eater of carrots, partially because I actually like them and partially because I heard that eating carrots was good for your eyes and no one's ever seen a rabbit wearing glasses. Sad to say that no matter how many carrots I've eaten over the years, I still desperately need glasses. The way I see it, you have four options. Break down and get the glasses...they do make some very stylish frames now. Get contacts...all the benefits of glasses but no one knows you have corrective lenses of any kind. Look into laser surgery...although I'm pretty sure you have to meet certain requirements to be a candidate (at least age 25 and had the same prescription of eyeglasses for at least a year). Or you can just squint a lot. Keep in mind that if you leave it untreated, it will most likely get worse, not better.

I'm near sighted I can't see things if they were really far away, like when I'm in class I would never be able to read the board from far away I have to sit in front, I have glasses but I never really wear them because it looks soo funny on me -_- and I say that if u're far sighted that is better than me because if things were really close to you u could back off alittle but if things were far u can't always get in the front lol xP my mom says that I have a bad vision because of staying on my laptop too much, and my eyes start to tear sometimes

You should really consider glasses. They are a cheap affordable solution. Glasses can be very trendy also, many people including some stars will wear glasses with non Rx lenses just to get the trendy sophisticated look.
You should examin your options but don't count glasses out. Wearing glasses can strengthen your optical muscles letting you see better over time, and with a keratin supplement your vision can get even stronger possibly 20/20 without paying for Lasic or the recovery time.

Sorry, but I think there are a lot of people out there that have the same question and no answers. You could get contacts, laser surgery or use the "See Clearly Method". Do a search online for "vision correction" and see what you get. It is also important to understand how the eye works and the nutrients it needs to stay healthy to avoid any future degeneration; for example vitamins, minerals and rest.

Since I work for a general ophthalmologist as his optical manager, let's "see" what your options are...as others have said , you can wear eyeglasses, and yes there are thousands of stylish frames. Or contact lenses...soft, hard, toric, colored. Only your eye doctor SHOULD help you with this. There is also LASIK, with many variables. Again, your eye doctor
would determine if you are a candidate.
Then there is the RESUME intra-ocular implant, where they remove your natural lens, and replace them with the implants so you won't need glasses again, both near and far. It is an expensive procedure, though.

in response to the carrot comments......... during WWII, the British developed night vision goggles. when asked how their soldiers could see so well, the Brits, not wanting to reveal their new technology, responded that they put their troops on a heavy diet of carrots, which improved their eyesight. Carrots didn't have anything to do with it, but armies all around the world began to incorporate more carrots into the diets of their troops. They won't help so buy contacts or try laser surgery (the latter helped my dad a lot).

The guys are right - lazer operation or contact lenses.
It costs a few thou though, and not all medical aids pay for it.
I know a few people who have had it done, and they had glasses as thick as bottles, and they see very well now without glasses.
I hear that they can only fix one problem, either far or nearsighted, not both.

you can eat carrots but if you have an overdose you'llre turn yellow or orange. my cousin used to wear glasses but then she started playing ping pong like everyday and i guess the fast action of the ball sharpened her vision because after a month of playing ping pong daily, she want back to have her eyes checked the her vision imporved a lot. you can try that with tennis too.

Contact lenses, glasses, implants. I'm near sighted too, and it's predicted to eventually get worse. My optometrist wants to see me, yearly. I once read in Time magazine, about some eye implants for near sighted people. But they cost thousands per eye, untl they idea of them has existed for a while. I'd welcome them, myself. But even with good eye sight, you still need binoculars.
