it might be Rumex conglomeratus, which sould taste sour

It does look like chicory. Did it have little blue flowers? And do the roots look like anemic carrots?
Might well be.
(You can roast & grind the roots to make a horrible "fake coffee" drink, too. Blech!)

It looks like something in the genus Rumex, the docks. Could be conglomeratus or pulcher, both are pretty common. Your photos are a little distorted, so I can't be sure.
