I am a female who has terrible sleeping habits this week alone i may have gotten a total of ten hours all together it is really starting to take a toll on me i know that if i don't do something soon my body will shut down on me this has been going on for quite some time and i am starting to feel sluggish and old it is also affecting my job.please help if you have experience in this area I try to fall asleep but i wake up out of breath and my heart be beating extremely fast so i end scared to go to sleep at fear of not waking up so i just stay awoke.HELP ME

You have to see a doctor you might be suffering from sleep apnea, where you stop breathing all of a sudden when you're asleep that's why it awakes you gasping fro breath. You really need to seek help since it's already affecting your performance.

First off trying going to bed earlier. You really should see a Dr, or try some sleep aid medication that makes your drowsy to help you fall asleep.And to get over that fear the best thing to do is face it, if you have alot of trouble doing this, I suggest seeing a psychologist.

There are specialist that can study your sleep and help determine what the problems area. Schedule an appointment and keep it. This can make a world of difference in the rest of your life.
