I don't know which countries you are referring to. I do know the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is growing rapidly in Nigeria and Ghana especially. We have something called Deseret Industries - where used clothing, books, furniture, appliances, etc. are all donated, cleaned, and re-sold at a small fraction of their original price to those on a strict budget. When there are natural disasters, these articles are also sent to the country in need - no charge in that case. If you are not looking for specific textbooks of some kind, I would check out how soon a Deseret Industries is opening in the part of West Africa you are referring to. If you are looking for new or fairly new books, it might be best to have school districts pair up with a sister school district in the U.K. and arrange for a donation program that way. Have the school teachers contact other school teachers directly.

I don't know if you want to send books to West Africa or you have books to donate.

However, I have found a website that may be able to help you - try contacting them.

Good luck!
