I use 1/8 or 1/16 oz for crappie and panfish. I use 1/4 or 3/8 for smallies and largemouth. What size should I use for striper?

What you use for crappie and panfish sounds good to me. Are you talking about white bass? Or those hybrid stripers? A 1/4 oz sounds good for those too.

Stripers chase shad, this years shad hatch is about three inches long by know, so a three inch jig should work.

I would use a rattle trap in shallow water right now. stripers are going into spawn so they're in the shallows hitting bait fish like crazy.

I use a 1/2 ounce strike king.... or a booyah... chartruese works pretty well here in the south and I add a Arkie blood red trailer hook.
