I fear anyone who loves God.

I love God. I also fear Him. It's not the type of fear where I think or belive that He will strike me dead if I do something wrong, because I know better than that.
It's the fear of His wrath. The same way I fear my husband when he gets real mad.
He gets mad so seldom that when he does - I know to shut up!

But if you don't believe in Him, HIs love or His forgiveness, watch out! Judgement Day is coming.

You're right to an extent. about beliving in God. But remember the devils also belive and they tremble. (James) The Muslims that attacked us on 9/11 also claim to believe in God. So in a sense it Does matter what religion you believe. Then there are other cults that will belive one part of the Bible and ignore the rest. Many believe only what they choose to believe.

God is everywhere for me. I perceive him in you, in this computer, in this writing, in all things. I see him the colors of my daughter's blue eyes, the sounds of my baby laughing and crying, in the smell of her hair, the taste of her baby food, and the feel of her skin.
I see him in the colors of a begger's brown eyes, the sound of his plea and his thanks, the smell of his clothes, the taste of smoke in the air, and feel of his hand as I shake it.

I experienced God directly and completely at the age of 17. That was about 30 years ago. I can never see reality as anything but an aspect, a facet of God.

No message, no mission. Just a gift, since I really had done little to deserve it. That and a blessed life and wonderful existance.

I love all of you.

I look forward to the day when you can drop all the walls that seperate you from others and feel what I feel, forever after.

Oh, I'm not religious, though I've studied almost all of them, and read most of the holy books (and a few some would say were 'unholy') that I could. I love Yahoo! Answers. Keep searching everyone! It's in there.

No one lives and perfectly honest life, at the end of the day when you can evaluate your self and see all the dishonest thing you have done, then yes i fear God, but if you really are a good person then God will forgive. To answer your question I'm scared I'm a good person and always look out for others before myself, but i feel that's just not enough.

The way fear is meant in the Bible (to incorporate my personal belief system) is in the context of absolute and utter awe, not the kind of fear that comes from the devil and has to do with anxiety and terror.

That being said, I both love and fear God.

I love God because He is so awesome and amazing. Fear Him, because I love Him, respect His commandments, and value His Word. Fear, coming from an humble perspective. He loves us more than any other creation, and would do anything for us to love Him back, yet gives us the freedom and/or choice to do so. Whats really fearful, is his wrath on sinners someday. That tops the fear list in my book.

Psalm 19:9
The fear of the Lord is clean, enduring for ever: the judgments of the Lord are true and righteous altogether.

Psalm 86:11
Teach me thy way, O Lord; I will walk in thy truth: unite my heart to fear thy name.

Psalm 103:17
But the mercy of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting upon them that fear him, and his righteousness unto children's children;

Psalm 111:10
The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom: a good understanding have all they that do his commandments: his praise endureth for ever.

Psalm 115:13
He will bless them that fear the Lord, both small and great.

I love Him and revere Him in awe. I hope Christians understand both is is need to know Him and His glory.

I believe in the great Flying Spaghetti Monster in the sky. Since heaven consists of a stripper factory, I must love Him, Lord Noodly Appendage.

You might be confusing the Father and the Son. The Father has an air of mystery to him, and that might instill fear in some. As for the Son, what is to fear about Him?

Both. Love for God's support and His love and willingness to help save us through his son. Healthy fear of his power over all things (omnipotence) and judgment.
