Ask your parents-they are the only ones that can specifically tell you why they are not consequenting his behavior since you state that you would perhaps a double standard of accepted behavior? OK for boys not for girls to do. I'd also explain to your parents how much this bothers you.It is never OK to accept being cursed at and you should demand respect. Perhaps once your parents are aware how it affects your self esteem-they will have him stop. Is this a pattern-does your father curse your mom? for if so then that's not OK and you should if you have no results with your parents-discuss with your school counselor,or pastor or priest depending on what religion you are but if none the 1-talk with parents 2.talk with school counselor

Maybe you shouldn't cuss either. You need to have a talk with your parents without your brother around and tell them how hurtful it is to you when your brother is so disrespectful and verbally abusive toward you. Ask them to put a stop to it. They, in turn need to have a talk with your brother and make him stop. If nothing comes of this, just try to ignore it and just count the days you will be able to move away from your passive parents and your abusive brother.

Keep on cussing. Cussing feels good, and just tell your parents that if he can cuss, you can cuss too. So, why don't you just out-cuss him, and say something so filthy it will totally blow him away. Then he'll feel like your the real one with the dirty mouth, and even though you don't cuss at him all the time, he knows that you could cuss him out big time. Try it. It'll be fun.

Sounds like your parents are afraid of him, or are afraid of being parents. Have anyone you can talk to? You sure have a tough situation to work on. Just don't join the club and cuss back. Be the better person....

Your parents may be sexist and think since he's a boy it's alright. Even though is only 16 ,compared to you, your parents may treat him like he's older cause he is the first born.

girls aren't supposed to have potty mouths..at least that's what parents think when their daughters are young...you brother's IQ must not be that high since his vocabulary consist mainly of four letter words...
