Would you be for torture of prisoners of war or detainees if your loved ones' lives depended on it?

I was listening to the Michael Savage Show last night and they asked this question on that show. I am all for the torture of our enemies when they are imprisoned or detained for the purpose of forcing them to leak information. In fact, if my loved ones' lives depended on it, I would be for cutting one finger and one toe off at a time until they talked while their teeth were removed at the same time without the luxury of anestesia.

When it comes to my family, f*ck their "rights" I'm looking out for my family. Also, if they are the enemies of my home country, get them to talk by all means necessary. That's the way I see it. Are their any fags who disagree?

This is an unrealistic question. How would we know what a prisoner might say under torture? Would it necessarily be useful in saving the loved one? Better to create an analogous scenario that might appeal to the prioner's being in similar circumstances. Torture has just not been pproductive in any case, but that is the assumption that Big Swole makes.

I disagree. If you knew ANYTHING about torture you would know that it IS NOT an effective way of getting information out of prisoners. Its a sad fact. BUT if you like getting all hopped up thinking about torture why don't you just put on your leather chaps, get out your whip and put the gag ball on your mom so you and her can play 'GITMO' tonight. I bet you would like that.

yes you were attacked with some planes but i would have thought you would have been far stronger and more thoughtful than what has been shown by the strange response.
so no i don't think torture can be justified in any way.

Yes, there are times when torture is appropriate, such as knowledge of a nuclear attack, etc. But not the type of torture that Bush signed that no one else can do except him.

Also, there are many degress of torture...

as most would want their loved ones found, you would be pleasantly surprised at the ways we got intel in the military and the cia and other agencies do it all the time. why its never known is its classified and once intel is given and they are of no use to us. they have daiseys growing out of their butts after that.
