Seth presumably had sex with his younger sisters.Likewise, it must be extrapolated that the children of those matings then had sex with their siblings, etc,etc,etc. Perhaps old Adam was doing his daughters too.
I asked a Protestant pastor about this once and the indifferent reply he gave declared that this incest occurred before God had handed down his law and therefore was not only acceptable to God but required of them since He had commanded them to be fruitful and multiply. No wonder bible believers refer to each other brother or sister. They believe that they are the offspring of incestuous sex.

That is the only solution since no one else had been created after Eve. But remember after about 1000 years or so God commanded that to stop. It has to do with genetics and the genetic code starting to degrade.
The genetic code at the time of Adam and Eve was way more pure than it is now.

According to the footnote of an old Bible I have, The incest was overlooked in order to populate the world. It sounds like a spin to make things ok.

With respect, I think you're taking the "first family" myth beyond its intended boundaries--like wondering whether the Three Bears paid the mortgage on their forest cottage on time.
It's a myth. Humans and other contemporary species are related to each other through common descent, products of evolution and speciation over billions of years

Actually, Adam and Eve were related, so they all committed incest!

This reminds me of a verse in Genesis where a wife just kind of appears.
Still trying to determine where she came from. (I can't remember whose wife it was.)
But, you are right. It had to be incestuous, because everyone 'came from Adam and Eve' originally.
