How is the process to copy a video from VHS to DVD? I have a standalone Phillips DVD recorder (not for PC) but it has some extrange outputs connectors (Composite video (CVBS) output). How I can connect it to an VHS if the VHS doesn't have those CVBS connectors?

in normal cases look out for an a/v cable port, from ur vhs and dvd writer.in case ur vhs dosent have an a/v port, for sure there is an rf-port to connect to ur tv.from here there are two options, eitherconnect vhs to tv,through the rf cable, and dvd player to tv through thea/v cable and record while playing or look for a/v ports in both, connect and burn the dvd

The signal from the output varies from TV to VHS and TV to DVD.
Because you are talking digital versus mono receptors.
You need conversion and to do this I would run your VHS direct to DVD and convert the connector which can be bought at any radio shack.
