You should be a responsible dog owner and have your dog spayed! Unless you are a breeder who has studied bloodines, and you have a purebed AKC registered dog, you shouldn't be breeding your dog anyway. Spaying will also help in keeping your dog from getting tumors. Keeping a female dog in a fenced yard is not a good ideas. Male dogs will jump a fence to get to a female in heat and they can do it through a chain link fence. The dog should only be outside, on a leash, with you there to supervise. Also, the female is most fertile for a few days AFTER you no longer see blood in the genital area. Do everyone a favor! Have your dog spayed and help prevent more dogs from ending up in pounds and being put to sleep.

is the neighbour's dog fixed? usually the only thing that works is to keep your dog inside or in a kennel.

Spay her, unless you intend to breed her. That way she won't come into heat and will spare both you and her a lot of trouble.

Gosh...I suppose a shotgun is just a LITTLE extreme? Free-roaming dogs are DANGEROUS. Warn your neighbor & then call aniaml control.
Keep your b-i-t-c-h STRICTLY confined until you get her SPAYED!
