I have 2 dogs, one is a black lab other is a short haired mix. Brushing doesn't seem help.

I use this thing I found on an commercial at 3 in the morning and it looks like a little rubber rake you can use on carpet and it gets it all out of the carpet cause my lab sheds so bad...its called the onesweep heres the link

try brushing them outside as often as you can. look into getting a different brush if the one you are using isnt doing the job.

for the fur in the house use a broom or a vaccum.

A good old fashion broom!!

Don't use any swifter wet jet products.... the solution uses ammonia and can be harmful/fatal to small pets and children.

A vaccuum or a dust mop. Micro-fiber towels work awesome for hair and dust.
