Obviously on the outside because it would rub against the horse if it were on the inside.

horse ridding gaiters? horse I understand, ridding - to remove, gaiters - gait like in trot or canter?
I don't think we have these things in Texas.

I should imagine on the outside but hell what do i know i don't ride horses only women.
