It's because those insidious big banks have fooled the public into *believing* that money trees don't exist. The act of the matter is that every "branch" has a magical money tree in the vault that supplies all the money for the day. The manager comes in every morning and gives it a shake to fill the tills and sometimes just after noontime if it's a busy day.
But keep that a secret between you and me, okay? ;)
Edit: the braille on drive-through ATMs is seriously because banks are too cheap to invest in two different types of buttons for ATMs. One type means always havingthe right parts on hand. Lazy buggers. ;)

Lol!! Very funny!
Banks have branches because they are in memory of the trees used to make the money in the bank.

Interesting question. I think they came up with the word "branches" to refer to their locations just to slap in our faces that money doesn't grow on trees, but they have the money but we just can't touch it. LOL.
But then again, we use "tree" to refer to a lot of things - mainly referring to a main source. Like family tree, with branches to include relatives and such. Or a parent company is a tree, with branches as regions and departments. Kinda like Umbrella. So on and so forth.

Lol. Nice.
Post that somewhere, it's pretty good.
Then again, if you think about it, money is supposed to be the root of all evil; why does the Church ask for it?
