Really depends on what you're looking for.
I loved Mere Christianity by C. S. Lewis. Really, anything by him is good, although it takes a bit of re-reading sometimes to understand his point. His stuff in Problem of Pain about Heaven is amazing.
Stormie Omartian has written a series of books about the power of prayer. I've got The Power of a Praying Wife, and it's good.
Phillip Yancey's What's So Amazing About Grace is good, as are Gene Edwards' The Three Kings, and Divine Romance. There are loads of other good books out there, and like I say, it depends on what you want to read about, and the shades of understanding you share with the authors.

I am a fan of the writings of C.S. Lewis (creator the Chronicles of Narnia). An excellent book of his is "Mere Christianity". It was a series of radio lectures he gave explaining the Christian faith in simple, everyday terms. No preaching, no piling on scriptures or declaring "God says". Just simple, thoughful, talks about what do Christians believe and why.
Then have a little fun. Find a copy of "This Present Darkness", and enjoy a good adventure novel with a Christian twist.

Pilgrim's Progress, by John Bunyan.
I read this aged thirteen, after finding Jesus.
Aside from the New Testament, it is the only book that I have read, that has had everlasting effect on me as a Christian.
Though fictional in content, it was written by John Bunyan whilst he was imprisoned for his faith and it clearly explores the many pitfalls of the Christian's personal journey, throughout life.
Another to book to read, is the Book of Job... old Testament, a place I seldom ever went:-( since I was seriously biased and stubborn.
I was directed to this book which I'd not read before, in 1983, by someone who on learning of my life experiences, suggested I like Job, was being tested on my faith.
Both books take a serious of amount of reading, though one is fictionally based and one, is a factual recording of a life.
They are not for the faint hearted, but just recently, I was moved to point a non-Christian of my acquaintance who is having serious personal problems, and who came to me, to the Book of Job.
I was suddenly (a first for me) during our discussion, 'made' to point him toward the Bible and to Job.
I avoid doing this sort of thing face to face, since I hate people thinking I'm a Holy Joe as well! Usually, the way I am speaks to people more and I am only later asked, if I am a Christian, followed by them saying "I knew there was something different about you."
Sharing of my faith arises only, when using past experience and the miracles I've been afforded. Mostly, this way, I can help others merely as a mum, a friend and neighbour.
I don't know why I did this, sent a young guy of 37 to the Bible, or how it happened, since all of us are different as people and I have never foisted my beliefs on anyone, I'm known for not doing so, but it worked for him.
And even in the mass of problems that he has yet to face, including a court case, he has started doing voluntary work with homeless people, and is a transformed character, always laughing and chatting, truly uplifted all the time.
Others can't believe the difference in him.

Total Truth by Nancy Pearcy is excellent. I would also try anything by James Sire or Lee Strobel.
Stay away from Warren, Wilkerson, and Osteen. Their stuff is Christian Pop Junk.

Go here and get some idea.. Everyone has different opinions about books...so i don't want to tell you a book is really good if you were to think its really bad...that'd be a total waste of time...wouldn't it..(Rhetorical question)
