The resurection was not a lie, and I don't play charades to begin with.

The Bible is not the only thing that has documented the events in the past. You used to hear people say that Jesus was never real. Well, it was then learned OTHER documents talked of a Jesus. Some of these documents potray him as a prophet (like the Jewish believe), but that shut some of the other folks up.

Then books like the DaVinci vode surface, based on nothing real at all. In "print" Brown may have said it is fiction, but quoted on the Today show, he believes it is true, and fact. Well, the fact is that Brown made up many of his "facts", and distorted them so badly, most of the book is rubbish anyway.

I don't know that I play 'Christian charades', but if I were some how offered irrefutable proof that the Resurection was not correct, then of course I would not believe, that being a major cog. But if someone had that proof, don't you think they would have offered it by now? Unless you are talking about time travel...

The only way to find out if it were a lie would be to die...then at that point, who cares if you play out the charade...you won't be here!

Paul himself agreed with you. "If there is no resurrection of the dead, then Christ has not been raised, and if Christ has not been raised, then our message means nothing and your faith means nothing. (I Corinthians 15:13-14)

He even adds, "In addition, we are found to be false witnesses about God because we testified on God's behalf that he raised Christ-whom he did not raise if in fact it is true that the dead are not raised." (I Corinthians 15:15)

He even heaps up a potential insult for us, "If we have set our hopes on Christ in this life only, we deserve more pity than any other people. " (I Corinthians 15:19)

But then argues, "But at this moment Christ stands risen from the dead, the first one offered in the harvest of those who have died." (I Corinthians 15:20)

Just in case the readers who'd have received his letter would want to investigate the claims that Christ rose from the dead, he stated, " After that, he was seen by more than 500 brothers at one time, most of whom are still alive, though some have died. Next he was seen by James, then by all the apostles, and finally he was seen by me, as though I were born abnormally late." (I Corinthians 15:6-8)

My friend.

YOU, are playing charades, with your own life.

Most people overcome such things past age 6.

Hang in there.

there is a certain philosophy behind the whole christian way of thinking - IF EVERYTHING IS A LIE ... THEN NOTHING IS A LIE. Try to remember this.
