I agree with your point on Lexus. The sad thing is that many people have been fooled by advertising and think very highly of these dressed up Toyotas. It's sad really, but what can you do? People are free to buy whatever junk they want.

Lexus will not be going out of business anytime soon... Not when they have been rated #1 in reliability 11 years running by J.D Power and associates, have a higher resale value than its European competitors and sales more vehicles than its competitors. Further, Lexus will spend more time performing for the driver vs. a lot of time in the shop like other European models.

An one last thought, Lexus is not an over price Toyota, Lexus has a completely separate design team, different metals are used in vehicle production and more superior technology. Also Lexus gives you more for your money.

wow...you are very mis-informed. One thing that you have to realize is that Lexus will always play catchup to BMW (Lexus has only been around since 1990). Lexus has been the number 1 luxury name plate for years. Toyota has built some of the highest quality and best built cars for many many years, and now think how good lexus is because they can through even more money into the mix.

Lexus will be around for many more years, as will toyota and Scion...get used to it.

With Ford, Chevy and Dodge slipping, see Toyota, Honda, and Nissan to pounce.

I work and TOUCH Lexus, BMW, Benz, Audi, Land Rover, Porsche, Jaguar.

You need more drugs if you think Lexus is just advertising and marketing.

Their engineering alone is far superior to any other automaker on the planet. I can even line up over 100 car guys that work in all makes of cars and all will say the same, Lexus is no.1

Go cry in your pillow that BMW is falling off. They are just a box of fancy parts that break a lot......soon BMW will be on the bottom with Land Rover, just a matter of time.

Cheap-quality equipment? Have you even looked at the Lexus model line-up and the technology they offer?

Sure, everything's cheap and second-hand compared to Ferrari technology--which only finds its way into other cars two or five years later--but they're a good competitor for BMW and Jaguar...and have Japanese dependability, to boot.

I understand your loyalty to BMW, but Lexus is getting up there--they simply don't have the R&D money Ferrari can shell out to develop cutting-edge technology yet.

I work for Lexus and you are smoking crack if you think that Lexus makes a cheap product... check with JD Power and Associates. Lexus is one of the best built vehicles out there.

Athletes can afford to buy new Benzes every year and don't care about depreciation. your average millionare however worked very hard for a very long time and would rather their $90k investment drop to 50k overnight. Therefore they buy Lexus.
