To me religion is a word that has somewhat bad taste. I believe that Jesus came to the earth to free us from religions. He was a Jew, but He did not ask us all to be Jews. He wanted to teach us to have a personal and life-changing relationship with God. We need to accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior. Our God is a jealous God. He does not us to have any other Gods. So the relationship is a big deal to our God. Jesus warned us about religious people, who are so set on their own ways and their own rules that they do not see the truth. Jesus says, I am the way and the truth and the life, no one will come to my Father's House except through me. He did not say Baptists or Catholics or Jews etc. Jesus is the way. He is the only God who can save you. You just need to understand that you need to be saved, and accept the Savior in the front of the people. Then He will accept you in the front of the angels.
People are doing a lot of wrong things in the name of religions. This might not be your view, but it is mine.
