A trade is convenient, but you wont' get as much as when you sell it privately.

If you need a new car right away, trade it. If not, try and sell it privately, you'll get more money. Always a good thing!

That's a tough question. The trade in would probably be best if it's the same make, and you have semi to bad credit. Id suggest a trade in reguardless, because if you sell a car then you wont have one to use while looking to buy another. I have two chevy models and I would always do a trade in unless I was heading to a non Chevy dealership. But there's so many If, ands, and buts.

Sell your car if you can. You will not get anything close to your used car's value if you trade it in. If it is a difficult seller, then you can consider a trade depending on what they are willing to give you.

That depends on how much your time and effort is worth, plus how good you are a negotiating. If you are a good negotiator, than I would use it as trade.
