I always think about this, but by being a Christian I am guaranteed a better place to go when I do die. I believe that it is far more greater to live eternity in a place where there is no sorrow, sickness, sadness, or pain than to depart this earth and go to a place much worse where I am forever separated from the love of God (being dead forever or in hell, whatever you believe). To me, that is the scary thought. I think that all people, weather they want to admit it or not, are afraid of the unknown, that's all. I would advise you, if you don't already have the hunger for Him, to get right and come to know Him for yourself and have this same blessed assurance that I do.

No... living forever just sucks... there is no end! I don't want to live forever because everything has to come to an end... that is what we know. Everything that we have started has come to an end or will no matter who you are. The thought of living forever is just scary... the thought of being dead forever? I know I have to die. Everyone does... and once I am there I won't know it anyway so I am much more comfortable with that.

The way the world is today, I do think it is just as scary to live forever than it is to be dead. However, I know that when I die in my physical body, my spiritual man will live on forever. So, truthfully, there isnt any reason for me to be scared at all.

I once read a book about a woman who died, went to heaven, and they brought her back, to write a book about her experience. And was that the coolest book to read!! She got to sit with Jesus and ask Him all kinds of questions! She described Heaven, as they most magnificently peaceful place to be at... She said you could do anything there, if you wanted to be like a dew-drop, and sit in a flower you could, that everything was so bright! And Beautiful Valleys, and all in such perfection, like she's never seen on earth. I wish I could remember the name of the book for you, but you would definately change your mind about eternal life, for Christians... Its sounds to me like "Utter Bliss!!!!!!" I'd rather live forever, but only in heaven! I'm not afraid of dieing, and anything would be better, then this messed-up world!!!

If you could live forever in a beautiful peaceful world and young too would be the greatest I think! You could do anything you wanted to you would have all the time in the world. As for death in my new world their would be no death.

Yes, I wouldn't want to live forever. After a while everything would get so boring.

Thinking about living is the same as being dead. Try living first.

no way, because you know what happens in life, the living don't know what happens when you die, so there is fear of the unknown in being dead (forever, duh), whereas in life, there would only be fear of losing people who you know (because they would be mortal). And eventually, you would find people to fill the empty roles in your life, so I would say being dead is scarier.
Unless you keep aging. life would be pretty much pointless if you're a vegetable for eternity.
