The Theodore Roosevelt Island Park is a great place to go. Its an Island that you is taken care of by the National Park Service and it is a beautiful place for a date. It almost seems like your not in DC anymore because the trees create a seclueded enviroment. You can go along a short path to a statue of Theodore Roosevlet and fountains where you can have a picnic. :)

Take the Metro Red Line and get off at Woodley Park/National Zoo.

The Zoo with the Pandas is in the Park. The stop is only a couple of blocks away.
Cheap and Easy.

Gravelly point, close to the National Airport metro station. You can watch the planes land and take off over the river, and there are picnic tables by the water. Very romantic!
