I understand what you are saying. Some people do not want to offend. For example, in a class of 35 students, maybe five will be from a home with married parents. Some immoral people defend their action by saying that all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God.Whether you lie, steal, murder fornicate, commit murder, adultery or homosexual acts, all is sin and intolerable to God. When a person recognizes his/her sinful condition and is convicted, there is repentance.People like those who will overlook their faults, so they do not like to listen to sound doctrine.Besides, many believe the Ten Commandments went out with the Old Testament and we are in a new dispensation or the New Testament. This is why it is important to know what you believe and be an example of the believer in thought, words and action.

There are more than 20 scriptures about sexual immorality that have NOTHING to do with homosexuality.
Numbers 25:1
Matthew 15:19
Mark 7:21
Acts 15:20, :29, 21:25
Romans 13:12
1 Corinthians 5:1, 6:12-13
(That's just 10 for ya...)

Holdemhero: Jesus never mentioned homosexuality. Jesus did mention adultery, remarriage after divorce, etc.
If you plan to tell us what Jesus said, please be sure you are talking about Jesus and not the faux apostle Paul.
There are only about 6 places in the bible that people claim condemns homosexuality. Some of those are so vague there is no real way to know what it means. There are over 300 different places in the bible that DIRECTLY condemns specific heterosexual practices.
People choose to focus on what applies to "others." Nobody wants to face their own sins. It's much easier to point out other people's problems.
That is probably why Jesus admonished his followers to take care of themselves and their own problems before trying to solve other people's. It's quite a shame most people don't even bother to follow the words of Christ...

You need to think about the time period and audience for which the Bible was written. While it still very much applies today, it was written in the voice of people that lived 2000 years ago. In this time, homosexuality was considered more morally acceptable than sexual relations outside of marriage. It wasn't as popular but was more acceptable. When Christ came to the earth, everybody knew for the most part that cheating was wrong, so He may have had to stress that homosexuality was just as wrong. Just my two cents.

It is clearly stated in the Bible in corinthians what is morally right and wrong, people don't talk about it as much because this world is so full of sin, satan is amongst the world now, until God sends him into the firery pit, we have to accept Jesus Christ and the Holy spirit lets us know whats acceptable and what isn't.
A person who has had many partners needs to ask for forgiveness, accept the Lord into their life and turn away from sin. They have to leave thier old self behind, thats why they say you are reborn, I have been saved, and don't have the desire to drink anymore or go back to my old ways, I am a different person through the Lord.

some do. The church has a problem with "offending" others, while others "ignore" that part of the Bible.
I remember a radio station had a commercial about the "Erasable Bible," where people can erase the parts of the Bible they don't like. It was hilarious but holds some truth. Some Christians still sin willingly but are not courageous enought to admit wrong.
To God, sin is sin. here is no classification. Holiness and purity is not preached enough to us and the next generations.

It gets hardly any attention, and what it does say is in Leviticus, which also says that clothes of more than one fabric are an "abomination". Its the people that give it attention. They want a scapegoat and solid answers, yet there are none, so they make one. Its always easier to blame the little guy (or in this case, the little group). Do your self a favor and look up the "Kinsey Scale" and all related information. Heterosexual folks are most likely not as "straight" as they think they are.

What rock have you been hiding under? The Church has been pounding the evils of certain aspects of our sexuality down our throats for generations and with good reason! Read the book of Leviticus and you will find several instances of things men and women are not permitted to do sexually that have nothing to do with homosexuality. You can't have sex with a woman on her period, you can't have sex with animals (YUCK!) and etc. Believe me, homosexuality is at the forefront today only because of AIDS and gay rights and other issues that deeply disturb the the Church's moral fiber because of Scriptures in Romans speaking about men and women "working that which is unseemly men with men, women with women" and "reaping the abomination of their own bodies!"

The people wanting group sex, those commiting adultry or the man with his goat, all fairly well agree what they are doing is wrong and is a sin. Or at least they are not trying to force thier right to do this into a civil right with special status.
The gays and lesibians have actually forced the fight on the issue because of thier unwarranted and unrealistic demands for civils rights that don't relate to the issue they are trying to make it appear to be.
We don't have to teach our children in school that cheating on your husband is a prefered life style, We don't teach them to have as many sexuial partners as they want, but we do now teach them that homosexuality is something proper and often they feel pressure to try it.
so in general the homosexuals started the battle, now they are crying because someone is fighting back. and they are basicly moralphobic, scared of people with moral values.

Unfortunately I think the issue is manipulated by politicians. Homosexuality would not have such a focus if bipartisan politics didn't embrace the debates over it. If you could move people politically as effectively by condemning gangbanging, that would be just as big an issue in our society (it is in other societies).
Plus, homosexuality is so prevalent in our popular culture that it's easy to target it, while it's harder to condemn divorce and premarital sex because it's happened so much that people accept it as a fact of life.
