My boyfriend broke up with me on sunday. He never made it "official" break up with me (he said he wasn't sure yet), but told everyone else it was definate. Anyway, he called my friend already twice this week to ask me what i was up to or if she has heard from me. I did leave him a message last night saying that i wanted to speak with him in person to straighten things out. When my friend asked if he was going to call me back, he said "i don't know". So whats the deal, why can't he just call me himself? why does he keep going to my friend to ask what i say? PS-i did tell her to tell him to just tell him to call me if he wants to know what i have been doing. I wonder if he still likes me and just was unsure of having a relationship. We were dating for 6 months. we are both 24. This is the longest time he has had a relationship

Sounds like he doesn't know what he wants and he's trying to keep you around for convience. I would move on. You deserve so much better and should not stoop down to his level while he thinks about what he wants. He has you wrapped around his finger and loves having you there. Ask yourself... is this where you want to be? Do you deserve better?

there is no such thing as "taking a break' from a relationship. You two broke up. Get over it.

If he is 24 years old and cannot call you to talk to you, he's too immature and needs to let go of that childish part of him. He's not some pimple-face teen, he needs to be a man and call you.

You are also 24 years old, if he broke up with you and you weren't in love, get over him and move on. You're not going to be young forever, so it's best if you let go of the past and move on to the future before it's too late.

He seems very confused ....may be he is having a soft corner with ur best friend...and may be he is using ur issue to get a chance to talk to her and start another SHORT relation with her....
If he is not ready to talk to u just dont bother...there are lot many other good looking guys.....the best way to strike back is dont spoil ur friendship with ur best friend no matter what happens .....DONT ASK ABOUT HIM TO HER NOR LET HER TALK ABOUT HIM....
u are grown up dear...stop thinking like a small girl....be practical.....
Love is waiting for u somewhere :)

Usually when men do this, they are trying to get with your bestfriend. I know this doesn't apply to you, correct? But hear me out. Your xbf has just ended the most serious relationship in his life. By now his friends are your friends and he has no idea what to do. Because hes so freaked out he confides in someone that is compatible to you. Why? Because she is compatible to him. he calls her and she reassures him of things. It's all he can do.

i think that hes scared to talk to you. because if its an unofficial break up then who knows whats going through his mind. at least he didnt tell everyone but you that you were broken up. thats what my ex did to me. but over time he will probably get the curage to call you i mean he is 24. but good luck

Kinda creepy. Tell em to be a man about it and confront you himself if he's so concerned....

He wants to keep you hooked without doing it directly.

He sounds like a wuss.

Dump him before you end up marrying him and he cheats on you.
