In the Inuit culture, burping after a meal is a sign that you enjoyed the meal. Anywhere else in Canada, burping is frowned upon, well, unless you're a male of college age or mentality.

LMAO I live in Canada, and that is actualy a joke, what it means if you burp after a meal is that is a compliment to the cheff or cook, but yes your heard right, but is a actual joke, still considered rude to burp at a table

it's certainly not as rude as the answer above mine, and quite forgiveable with an "excuse me" or even "sorry" it is, after all, natural to burp. just try to keep it to a minimal sound and you're good

Not most places. I mean about everywhere. Only in a traditional Inuit setting. Did you read this in an online game?

um no. but in ancient somewhere, i don't remember where, it was expected that you would tickle your throat with a feather to induce vomiting right there at the table to make room for the next course.
