What does that have to do with religion and spirituality? This should have gone in the politics forum.

Other parties are too small. We should have a system where we can vote for more than one candidate, or have a second choice. Then we could vote green party #1, and democrat #2

Because usually the independent party represents what they believe. Also, their vote "counts" more if they vote for the independent party. If an independent party gets more that 7% (I believe..) of the total votes, the next election that party gets campaign money; thus, allowing more coverage the next election.
The reason why third parties haven't made an impact is because not enough registered people who do not vote for democrats or republicans actually vote. If they did, third parties might actually garner more than 7% of the vote and get campaign money for the next election.
haha, so i read over your question and realized it said "don't" and not "do" so nevermind. you already knew my answer.

The country is basically a two party system for the sake that if there was another major party, we would end up with Presidents and elections where only 35 percent of the voters would vote for them. It helps insure that a majority of voters actually vote for the candidate.

reason no one else can win. interior the whole background of united statesa. we've in basic terms ever had 2 events at as quickly as, and it works greater proper that way. The events exchange over the years & slide around on subjects or areas, at times even new events arise & replace one among the two we've. that's often a similar tho. this is greater proper to alter issues from interior the equipment then cry approximately it & never exchange something. maximum republicans case in point are greater libretarian philosophically, yet you need to compromise & have a huge tent in case you desire to catch most of the yank vote. the terrific exchange i could desire to be certain... run as despite occasion you desire, yet no popularity of occasion in congress whilst they pick leaders or chairmanships.

Hey I have deiced to run. Just write me in. I think it's about time for a regular guy to rule a regular country. No rich influence, no favors owed to anyone. Just common sense applied to the countries tough problems.

I'd love to see someone credible from something other than the reps or dems. Rember Ross Perot and His running mate. Did you see his running mate in a debate? We need credible people in charge our country. Someone that will lead us in the right path.

there are other parties, problem is that the "big two" get the most attention and can't throw the most money to promote themselves.
Not many people know the "other parties."

They don't want to throw their votes away. No other party has as much power as those two.

because most americans are of the opinion that their vote doesn't matter. Therefore you might as well try to guess who will win.
