It depends on what the other flavors are in the main dish. I would probably just make a garden salad to go with it or do this:
Slice some beefsteak tomatoes about 1/4 in thick. Slice some fresh mozzarella about 1/4 inch thick. Layer on small plate, alternating between the cheese and the tomatoes. Put a sprig of parsley on there or put the whole thing on top of a leaf of Boston lettuce if you want to make it look nice. Chill for at least 15 to 20 minutes. Drizzle with some vinegar and olive oil, or some Italian dressing just before serving.
This one is really good with a nice steak as well. :D

I'd go with a fruit or vegetable, since you already have meat and carbs. If you like carrots, slice a couple into a small sauce pan with a couple of tablespoons of water, a tablespoon or two of butter, and a teaspoon of sugar. Bring to a boil, put the lid on, and boil for 3 minutes. Remove the lid and let it cook for another 3 minutes, stirring to distribute the glaze.

I would service a fresh dinner salad to start out, or on the side either way, and then some nice asparagus spears also.
