Nice that the guy with no contact info is calling me a coward.

I honestly want to see how people answer these questions.

it could, if bible and quran would be shortened into a more understandable version.

my proposition would be this:

"Hey people! I'm God, but you can call me Allah. You can believe in me or not, i honestly don't care! As long as you love your neighbour as yourself, and you never judge another person, then we'll be very good friends in the afterlife.

I will see you all in the afterlife, until then: enjoy life to the fullest, don't talk about me too much, because it really isn't needed. We will have plenty of time to talk in the afterlife. I promisse i'll explain there how i did build all of what you see around you. For now, don't worry about all those things, just enjoy life. The afterlife will be boring enough, lol "

That little bible would save the world and all of it's problems.

Religion isn't pointless, but it certainly wouldn't solve all the world's problems. It's a human institution and people often confuse religion with spirituality. A person can be spiritual without being religious. However, with all the division in religions and disagreement there would be just as much controversy and conflict as there is if everyone was religious. I mean hell, look at what happened when religion controlled the government across the world? It was all about wars.

Which religion are you referring to? For me, there is only one faith that is acceptable for Him as what the Bible teaches, and outside of it man's services and sacrifices is, sad to say, rendered worthless.

World's problems, unfortunately though, won't be solved anymore. The situation is very much alike during Noah's time wherein people of this world only care for material security and worship their own desires, those that has been created instead of worshiping Him Who created all of us. All these things would suddenly end and the world would never stand-up. That is why a new Jerusalem is being prepared for those who would be saved come Judgement Day when all men would be judged based on what they have done on this life.

Rather than worry on issues of this world which is pointless anyway, you should be concerned more on your own salvation since you're the one's accountable to it.

Peace.

This is a loaded question. Some religions can't even solve their own issues. From a high level vague type answer - if folks had faith and believed in kindness and respect toward all - followed the 10 commandments I think we'd all be okay.

Religion could easily solve all the worlds problems...
By going away...
Stop giving people a false hope and encourage everyone to live this life to the fullest and take care of each other...
Allowing people to go thru life believing "It get's better when your dead" doesn't do a damn thing for us now...
Put your bibles down and pick up your self esteem...
If you need something to believe in, believe in yourself for a change and in doing so, perhaps we as a society can get out of the stone age and really start to evolve!

Since true religion, according to the Bible, is to feed the hungry, cloth the naked, house the homeless, visit widows and orphans and those in hospitals and those in prisons, then if everybody took on this type of unselfish attitude towards others less fortunate, then the majority of world problems would be solved by the kindness of one person to another.

I think Religion could start solving the worlds problems by getting off it's lazy backside and providing for people. Perhaps it should go to school and learn some science so it can figure out a cure for HIV.

Religion doesn't. All the world's problems are sometimes caused be cause of religion mixed with politics...and trying to put people before God...and w/e.

Only God through his Kingdom...with Jesus in command...can the world's problems be solved. As long as there are leaders of religion or governing politics or any of such sort...the world's problems will never be solved.

Even religions, there is so many religions in the world...they conflict each others all the time...why do we have so many belief...I don't know...only thing I see is we need to love each other regardless of religion, race, sex, ages, rich or poor.... so we can go back to where we came from like when we all just born and came to this world...that's days we were so friendly and equal..

It would solve the world's problems if God actually existed and took action against all of the sinners. If you steal something, God should strike you down and condemn you to hell. If God took action once in a while, the world would be a much safer place. However, the fact that our God is a passive God has turned many people into atheists.

Good question. I don't think religion itself would solve the worlds problems, I think the love that religions teach would. "Give peace a chance" to quote John. And "All you need is Love." the rest of the Fab 4
Peace and Love
