Only a male can be father.

Episcopalians don't perform confession as in the Roman Catholic Church. There, in its stead, is a prayer during the service that is an "open" confession of sins..."manifold sins and wickedness..."
I find it interesting that they habitually refer to the male clergy as Father____, but I've never heard anyone address a female clergy member by anything other than Reverend _________. I'd say the whole Christian thingy still has issues with gender domination...Patriarchal religions, all of them.

We don't confess in the same way as Catholics do.

That said, I've belonged to churches with male and female priests, and I don't have a preference.

Yes well if you read the bible Whose sins you shall forgive, they are forgiven them; and whose sins you shall retain, they are retained. John 20:23 jesus gave this command to the apostles of the church so God himself gave learders of the church to forgive sins which was passed down to the next learders of the church which is allowed by a Catholic priest.

I don't know. I confess my sins to God. Not to another human that has no power to forgive my sins.

episcopalians do not confess to priests. only catholics do that!
