If it's 20 grams per day,then it's freakingly low/hard to keep it throughout all our lives....?!
Is it true people mean 20 grams of carbohydrate consuming means a low-carb diet or ??

The Atkins and South Beach diets advocate keeping under 20 grams net carbs/day, but only during the Induction Phase (which is the first 2 weeks). This is just to shift your metabolism into fat-burning mode (so the theory goes).

After that, you are supposed to increase your carb intake so that you don't lose weight too fast. But you still aren't allowed to go carb-wild.

It depends on who you talk to. Normal recommended intake of carbs is 300 grams. I guess anything below that is lower-carb. Atkins is 20, but some of the other programs allow more.

The better thing to do (rather than restricting carbs) is to eat good carbs - whole grains, fruits and veggies, etc. or to eat low glycemic index foods, since that's what's affecting your blood sugar.

Its not that hard....Eat hotdog with cheese or pork skins, and tea with sweet and low, bacon or a hamburger...You can eat anything under 20 carbs a day...Good Luck...Also try some string cheese...with pepperoni...
