Don't laugh but, seriously WalMart has half yearly jewelry sales that are awesome. Also, Overstock.com has great deals (under $200). You could also try buying a white topaz rather than a diamond (they look the same). Pave rings are less than single stones, like both could be 1/2 k. but the pave (cluster of tiny stones in one setting) will cost less.

Ebay is good, but you might get scammed. Kay Jeweler's is a good place. A pawn shop is good, too. You could also try a diamond broker. They are reasonable and sell at wholesale costs. My brother got his wife a 3 carat diamond from a broker and it was a good deal.

First of all, you need to look beyond diamonds and try some other stones or just a really fabulously designed band. www.sundancecatalog.com has some great original designs, and it's where I got my wedding rings.

ebay maybe. do u mind if they're 'used'? if not, your local jewelry stores are good choices. that's what i did. it's beautiful, original, not too small, and only 650$. if u go somewhere like zales, it's gonna be sky high. keep in mind u can make payments.

check for discount stores, sales, ebay, etc. you might be suprised on what you find. you can also get a fake one and save up for a real one. i have a lot of friends that do that.
