my neice is 5 and her mom isn't really around alot and her mom dosent really do anything with her and it seems like her mom yells at her alot

U should be happy that a 5 year old looks at u as a mom. Her mom is not doing so well and u don't want ur niece to turn out like her so I would take resposnibiltiefor her much more and take her under you wing. Care for her andmake sure nothing bad happens. Kepp up te good work

there is no problem wit this, as long as ur niece knows who her real mom is. you should feel joyful to be looked upon as a mother because a mother is the greatest thing in ones life; they gave us birth. just keep in mind that you are being seen as a role model and that you should walk down the correct path so that your niece does the same. you wouldn't want to disappoint yourself as well as ur family members if anything goes wrong.
this is a great responsibility that you are assuming but also a very joyful one, so take advantage of it and make the best out of it!!

Sure it's okay. She needs someone to look up to since it isn't going to be her mom, most kids are closer to their mom and her's doesn't seem like a good person. My friend is the same with three of her cousins and one of her boyfriend's kid.
