Thats a lot of conditioner. I have had thick hair in the past, I just had a baby, a little after birth your hair falls out. I had your exact problem while pregnant since your horomones change.. your hair grows fast and doesn't fall out.

Go to a salon professional, pay a little more for this hair cut. So no great clips, super cuts or anything. Explain your situation, you can have your hair put into layers, then thinned out a little. Make sure when they ust the thinning shears to not go up more than 3/4 of the length from the ends.

Suave is a cheap products, while economical, you pay for what you get. Try thermasilk, pantene, or something along those lines. Talk with they stylist if you go, tell her you don't want to pay 20.00 for a small bottle of shampoo, ask why brand they would reccommend.

Pay more for the first initial cut at a salon with stylist that have more experience or training. Visit that salon every 6 months then go to super cuts, or where ever for trims.

Here is a decent answer. Start with your conditioner at the ends of your hair, massaging it in on your way up its length. Put a plastic bag or cap on your hair. Blast it with a blowdryer until it heats up and let it cool for twenty minutes. Rinse with lukewarm water. I would try a product called L'oreal Mega Moisture, its thick and creamy and you will bust your tail in the shower if you're not careful using it. I have lots of thick curly hair and I only need enough of this to cover my fingertips. Get a detangling comb, they look funky, the teeth are curved. Do the procedure I stated once a week. Use your suave every other day. You will like the results.

OTC hair products contain mostly water. In order to give the right thickness to them to be used on your hair, fillers are added. These fillers are often waxes or polymers (plastics) that build up on your hair. That Suave conditioner is most likely putting a heavy build-up on your hair. Over time the build-up can become so thick that your hair is not able to get completely clean, thouroughly conditioned, and could eventually start to break. In my salon I actually will take the blade of my scissors and scrape a strand of hair as my client watches in a mirror. It is amazing to see the thin layer of white gunk peel off like a wood shaving.

A great product line is Pureology. It is made from 100% certified organic ingredients. The products contain no water, so it is very concentrated. Because of this, you will use much much less each time. The quality of the ingredients also help to give your hair a balance of moisture and protein it needs. The entire line is designed to preserve color, too, thanks to the non-stripping types of sulfates used.

I also recommend only applying conditioner from the ears down and keeping a wide toothed comb or pick in the shower and combing it through if you are still using too much.

Hope this helps!

I would suggest trying Sleek Look conditioner from Matrix. It makes your hair so soft and smooth. It does an excellent job making the strands of hair just slide past each other.

Using something like BioSilk Therapy Serum (or most any other hair smoothing/shining serum -- but NOT hair pomade) after your wash your hair can help too. They smooth the hair cuticle and help prevent tangles.

You may also want to go to a good salon and ask them to use the thinning shears on your hair. I've had it done and it makes everything feel so much lighter.

My hair is the same way, All that conditioner and still feels like STRAW!!!!! I use Suave Proffesional Humectant conditioner, followed up with a small amount of pantene pro V for a little extra umpf. The problem could also be your shampoo, stay away from clarifying shampoo. I use the suave professional humectant shampoo then follow up with the conditioner.
It helps make my hair manageable and I hope it works for u!

I have extremely thick and curly hair. I would highly recommend Goldwell Kerasilk Rich Care Shampoo
Goldwell Kerasilk Rich Care Treatment

It is not cheap but you do not need alot of it. Once you put the conditioner in, wet your hair a bit and let it sit in your hair for two minutes. Then take a wide tooth comb through it..

My hair feels like silk and the tangles are gone.

Unfortunately the only types you can use less of are the type you buy at the salon. I like Hempz Hydrating it's smooth and you don't need very much. Also, Joico makes some once a week deep treatments. Using one of those may help your regular stuff go further. Also, before switching product you should clarify your hair to get rid of the buildup.

have you ever tried leave in spray conditioner? works pretty good, however I would recommend a salon, bc some of the stuff you buy in stores leave your hair feeling very heavy and you already have that problem. So use ur reg conditioner, just not as much and when u rinse it out spray some leave in conditioner on ur towel dried hair!! Good luck

O yea Biosilk is friggen awwwwwwwwwwesome!
