Great question. Such employers are very scarce. However, you can easily get inexpensive but good next-day coverage on your own and then quit it when the employer's group plan allows you in. Lots of people don't know about short-term health insurance. That can be your answer. Go to http://www.wavehelp.com/short-term-health-insurance.htm and check it out.
Best wishes.

Great question! Normally certain industries will offer unbelievable benefits because they compete for the same employee talent. If I were you I'd look into a job in the Pharma industry (companies like Pfizer, Genentech, Merck). Companies like these will offer benefits with premiums and provisions that are non-existent with other industries. Try to get a central corporate number for the company and ask to speak with a recruiter. Or sometimes the companies' websites will allow you send an email to the Recruitment department.

I am a health insurance agent (mainly for employers) and I have NEVER seen one employer who offers "day one" benefits.
I suggest you see if you can get some temporary coverage on your own....Of course if you have a pre-existing condition it won't be easy to get... maybe impossible....but it depends on the state you are in....We have it here in Calif. If you are in Cal. you can email me and I will tell you what it is....good luck...I really know how tough this situation is for countless Americans....
Take care.

Those times have long past. With the cost of healthcare on a steady rise, just about all ompanies will require that you are with them for a set period of time before you become eligable.

You can sign up for some health care plans on your own and just pay a monthly bill. you can do that until your job starts coveringhalf of it.
