For Christians, Atheists and what ever you are, why can't you just let people believe in what they want to believe and not say anything about it?! Ok, it's a freedom of speech thing, but honestly it's quite annoying. Believe in what you want to believe in and stop whinning about others that don't believe in the same thing! I'm probably going to get a few replies that are less than desirable, but at this point, I don't care. If someone pushes a belief on you, just IGNORE IT! Don't worry so much about everyone else and their beliefs.......I'm sorry, in the past 15 minutes I have seen at least 7 different posts that have to do with all this....i'm just frustrated.

you are absolutely right,we all have the right to our own thoughts and beliefs,it sounds very childish and rude for someone to knock or dispute these things in which we care so much for.-

Would you ever vote for an athiest?
The fact is, you need to be educated about the real world so eventually you'll stop discriminating against people with the ability to think logically.

Sure it's what you believe, but there is no reason in the world to think it's true. Jesus thought the world was flat. Moses thought that stars were embedded in the firmament (a tough sphere around the earth with stars stuck in it). These people were fine in their time, but even a child today knows more about reality than these ignorant people did. I'm not saying they weren't great for their times, but they had limited information to work with (irrefutable evidence against divine inspiration for their works since they display their wrong beliefs about the world). One day people will know much more than we do and will consider us ignorant and they'll be right, but we should still at least use the best information available to us, not a bunch of totally false old books.

Oh wait, do you still think the earth is flat?

Just read this:

If you are told a hotel in New York is going to burn down?

what would you do?

a)help the people whether being rejected or not

b)sit down and enjoy the view

c)join them

suppse that the building with filled with everything that you ever wanted but you couldnt leave the building.you werent really sure anyways

would your answer change?

if you like it and decide to stay, you would probably conform to their ways and forget about the bomb

when you hear other people warning other people, will you think they are brain washed?

there is a lot of that in yahoo answers

now relate the burning building to hell

and the ones that try to save the people are Christians

some people refuse God

some people want to make their own ways to escape

there is only one way, through God

If i belived what i wanted, and left everyone else alone, they would burn in the building

i have compassion for people, even if they reject me, im still going to keep trying to tell them the truth

I personally don't mind what one person believes.

When that person's belief interferes with my life and my friends' lives, then I mind.

A lot.

I want my gay friend to get married to the man he loves. He cannot because someone's belief is interfering.

I want to buy beer on a Sunday. I cannot because someone else's belief is interfering.

I want to be free with my beliefs at work. I cannot because a bigoted Christian might label me as a troublemaker and cause problems with my management.

Mostly, it's the intolerant, stupid, or aggressive theists I cannot stand. Reasonable theists who also believe in letting people have their beliefs are not a problem.

lets face it..people are ignorant..People are always trying to find the answers to everything and others make excuses. Let them fight. The only reason everyone is so angry and unsure of theirselves is because this whole world is based on more theory than fact. Everyone thinks that they are right and everyone else is wrong and nobody is open to other ideas or suggestions...you're all ignorant and that's my theory..doesn't mean it's true...but look at the facts: I like pie.

Again..as you put it..Freedom of speech..I guess the same would apply to you posting the message you just posted on here. If that's the case..Why are you whinning about what others do? After all..it is what it is...

By the way..JESUS ROCKS!

More often than not the person attempting to push his/her religious beliefs on others is trying to convince himself of what he is saying, if he/she says it enough times he/she starts to believe in it. That’s one of the reasons why most mythologies demand of their followers that they spread the word, not only do they get new converts but the belief is continually re-enforced on the missionary.

Every different type of religion requires to some extent to recruit new believers/members. People are very passionate about their beliefs and to ask them not to be is well.......wrong.

It's called debating. No one's tring to bring down anyone's religion. Face it, without the debating on this site, the religion category would pretty much be dead. Debating is good.

And WHAT is your question exactly??

Some people aren't like you, they don't ignore things. No matter how many people read this 'question' it will never stop, so give it up.

This is the truth, if more people just let things roll like water off a duck's back, there wouldn't be half the BS problems there are out there!
