Start by reducing the amount you eat by 10%. This way, you'll be taking in fewer calories, but your body won't go into shock and start hoarding everything you eat. Lower it another 10% every couple of weeks. Don't go lower than 1200 calories unless you're under DIRECT supervision by a doctor!!

You're not going to get instant results, but they'll be lasting ones.

1000-1500 calories per day. Make sure that you are eating lots of fruits and vegetables. They will fill you up and don't have many, if any, calories.

Another thing that I was taught when I was losing weight, is to alternate you caloric intake everyday. For example, if you eat 1000 calories tomorrow, eat 1200 on Sunday. Never eat the same amount day after day. Your body will get used to the amount and not work as hard. It is the same idea as taking medicine. If you take 2 aspirin a day, after a while, the 2 isn't going to work. Just a suggestion. Good luck on the diet.

The calorie intake should never go below a 1200 calorie diet mark and in most cases should stay above 1500 calories. Remember with 3500 calories to each pound losing stored fat will be a gradual process therefore a reduction in calorie intake should be gradual too!

Your best bet is to eat less and move more! Do not go lower than 1200-1500 calories per day.

BTW a Quarter Pounder w/Cheese = 510 calories
small fry = 250 which would be half of your daily allotment. Choose foods wisely. Weight Watchers is your best bet if you have a lot of weight to lose.

Really, if you can, try to figure out about how many you normally get. Then try to get less then that if it's high and get active. Supposedly as long as you burn more calories then you take in you should lose weight.

Stop eating breads, pastas, rice. (the white stuff) Lower your carbs., stick to proteins..chicken, veg, fruit, lots of WATER. Yadda, yadda, yadda. Hope that helps. But, don't cut out carbs all the way! Just back off them a little. Oh yeah, jog or something also. :)
