There is no real answer to this question but what I have learned of what love is to me and that is the word LOVE itself holds the answer.......If all things below fit upon first sight then it is love if not, then it is just lust......
(L)isten: and Validate them by hearing and empathizing.
(O)verlook: their minor character flaws as they will overlook yours.
(V)alue: who they are and what they mean to you.
(E)xpress: how you love them not just with words but with actions.

Hey, I know this sounds funny....but if you eat some corn on a date and it comes out the same way the next day it might be love at first sight. No, wait a minute that would happen every time so that's no good. Maybe judging love at first sight is a mistake, after-all look at Jessica Simpson, sure she's a hottie, but damn.....no way that's love.

Love takes time...it doesn't come from first looking at someone. It's something you devope as you beging to know the person and work at making sacrifices and understanding, patience and kindness. When you see someone and get those eyepopping "feelings", it's fun to think it's love, but love is more than an excitedment about the way a person looks. It's more than just a feeling and takes time to develpope. But, a good looking guy can sometimes turn ito something great!!!

We met on a blind date and were married 6 weeks later - nearly 44 years ago! So, yes, we believe in love at first sight.

I guess that depends on what your definition of love is. I think we can feel a part of love at first sight. According to Joe Beam (relationship expert) love is passion, commitment and intimacy together.
so I guess that you might feel the passion part of love at first site, but the other two take time to develop.
