I think he was trying to avoid doing things he does not like to do, such as having breakfast, or get ready for school. Does that happen to other preschoolers? My son has just started half day preschool for two weeks, and has been crying in school most of the time.

try to be patient and give it some time - kids react funny when something in their normal routine changes. I am sure he is adjusting to being in preschool and the change in his routine. He may be avoiding something but it is probably seperation anxiety. It can hit like that at this age. My daughter went into our church nursery fine for the first 2 years of her life - loved it and went running in to play. She turned two and everything fell apart. She cried at doing the same thing she has done a million times before. Just be patient and try to reassure your son. If it helps, let him take a picture of you to preschool so he can look at it when he misses you or let him take his favorite comfort object. Be consistent with as much as you can - it will help him learn a new routine.

Some kids feel the need to go to the bathroom a lot due to infections - you could mention it to your doctor as well if it doesn't settle down.

Good luck and I hope it works out well for you!

it could be he's avoiding it. Or it might be that he has a little bladder infection and really feels like he needs to potty all the time.

just ride it out and make sure he's hydrated and every things flowing normal without fever or pain.

He'll get used to preschool in a few days, once he find out how to socialize with the other kids he'll figure out its fun. It take a little while for new routines to set in.

Hahaha , my son does the SAME thing. He says "I go peepee" and he JUST went so I bring him in, he steps on that stool and decides he wants to play with everything. I think he just likes the bathroom, lol.

well because according to my calculations your son hates his pull ups. so he wants to show you that he is a big boy now take away his pull ups. to make him sad make him wear goodnites till he's in sixth grade . ps. make him wear them to school. that will teach him a lesson about his poop and pee!!!
