God does not work according to your schedule, but according to his own. He answers all prayers according to what he knows is best for you. God is beyond time and space as we understand time and space. If you do not get the instant results that you want, then do not blame God for your impatience. Trust in him---DO NOT BADGER HIM!

Dear Natalie, I think this is awful. I once heard the story of a man who went to confession and told the Priest his story and how he was in a terrible predicament and asked what Jesus would do in his situation, to which the Priest replied, "He wouldn't have got into it in the first place".
Just because your the top candidate doesn't mean that you'll get the job.
I believe God does answer prayers, but I also believe he expects you to use your brain.
If you've made plans to relocate then start looking for another job in the new area, then if this job falls through you've got a back up plan.
Whatever you do, make sure you leave your old job and old place on good terms, so if the worst happens you can go back. The last thing you want is your old landlord or employer to say, "But you said ... when you walked out the door".

God will answer you. Pray in the Spirit of truth. It is a gift of the Holy Spirit to pray in the Spirit. With a big question like this, I would ask questions different ways. "Do I have this Job?" Praise God in the Spirit, then in the Spirit say, "Thank you God for this Job." God is Love. Love rejoices in the truth. If you cannot rejoice in this answer then it isn't true. I am writing about the joy that comes from faith.

Sometimes if God is silent and I cannot find joy in the answer, there is something amiss. It could be that God has a better job for you. Ask God if there is a better job for you.

Abide in His Love and His Word. Pray His promises. Pray in the Spirit of Truth to get the right answer.

God gives wisdom liberally to those who ask in faith and specifically.

I asked God, and I believe that God has a better job for you. A wonderful job.

Remember, God is never late. It may seem like it, so just keep trusting in Him.

Added later: Yes He does, because, He answers many of my questions instantly. I claim the promise that if I ask in faith, abide in His Word & Love, and be specific and not waver. (John 15:7, James1:5-7)

My Sister, God answers in His time, not ours. Sometimes the prayers are instant, sometimes not. Sometimes we want something so badly, that we make ourselves believe that it is of God. Maybe you jumped the gun on that job. You didn't have the job, but you already made plans based on what "man" told you. Stand still and listen for the word from God. He won't lead you astray. He also won't stop you from doing foolish things or jumping the gun. Most important is that you have to trust Him. He is so good and so faithful that He will never leave or forsake you. That job left you and forsake you. My guess is that it wasn't of God. All things work together for good for those that love the Lord. You didn't get that job for a reason. There is something better that He has for you. Pray on it and wait on it. Listen to Him; He's talking to you. Tell you what...pray for me and I'll pray for you. Okay? God Bless!

The book of Daniel shows us that God answers (at least) some prayers immediately (Daniel 10:12). Sometimes, it would seem there are forces outside our control, or realm of understanding, that delay getting our response.

Something that we as humans are not always prepared for is that even when God answers a prayer, it's not always answered the way we want. When we ask for something, there are three ways God could answer: Yes, No, or Not right now.

Unfortunately, with the exception of a true Prophet, no one can tell you exactly what God's response is... it's something you have to listen for in your heart.

No, he is not telling you no!!!! When it come to important things that is for your well being, you should always put it into Gods hands and be very patient! Don't make yourself impatient and begin to lack your faith, & trust in God! Don't begin to become impatient while you are waiting for God to show you his signs! Taking it on your self is not a wise thing to do! You can have a conversation with God, Just because he does not answer you the way that you,or I would answer someone does not mean that he is not listening!. He gives, and shows you signs! It is up to you if you are going to see or feel them!
God Bless You!!!!

It is a situation of In God's time. To get you that good Job God has to do much give God a chance. Remember if you get the job there are countless others that prayed to God about that job who did not get it. (humbling I hope)

BTW God is not a wishing well. If you start treating God that way all you will get is what a wishing well provides; rusty water and loosing your money.

Sometimes He says no. Sometimes He says wait. Praying about everything is best.
Maybe if you explain to your landlord about your situation, they might give you an extention. It also sounds to me like you should have just been more patient, and waited on the Lord for the answer to come. You may even need to fast and pray about it, but don't worry over it too much. The Lord will provide. The Bible says it better!

God can answer your question instantly and can also answer lately or even not to answer. It is up to our God's willingness and to your effort and God knows whether you ask really with your utmost or not..You must pray to God orderly everyday as your obligation. But at a special request you must pray solemnly after mid night where everything is silent. You ask guidance from your God what is the best way and ask His permission.

things doesnt happen when you want it to happen it will happen when god feels its that time. I am in a similar situation, now I have to interview all over again when a company just called me this pass monday to tell me i was being considered for the job and now 2 days later they called me to tell me that I have to interview all over again. sometimes i think god test how much faith you have in him, but patience is a virtue. I will be praying for you because the only thing we can do is keep praying, that's the only person I know that can get me this job. GOODLUCK!!

God's time is not our time, and his plans are not always our plans. Answers do not always come right away, and sometimes the answer is no. You just have to trust that God knows what he's doing and that eventually things will work out the way they're supposed to.
