It's a joke. You might not think it's funny but there is a similar question about blondes, social workers, men and probably loads more. Why get offended? It's funny because it's true(j/k). It doesn't mean that's what everyone thinks, it is, as I said, just a joke.

Good lord my friend. Relax, it is not even funny. However, it is not in the least bit offensive. As an Irishman, having to listen to all those Irish jokes - now, that's something else. Incidentally, here's one.
Paddy leaned over the edge of a large cliff to see the view and of course he slipped and fell over. He grabbed a small bush and hung 300 feel above the jagged rocks. He called out 'God help me, God save me'. The clouds opened and a ray of sunshine shone through, a bellowing voice said 'Have no fear my son, today you will meet Me in Paradise'. 'Oh crap' shouted Paddy 'Is there anyone else who can help me'.................
(I honestly think that God has a wonderful sense of humour, otherwise why would he have made us the way we are)..............

I feel sorry for the lightbulb - it's been the butt of everybody's jokes for years. You never hear the lightbulb complaining of being offended. I think it is a shining example to us all.

Don't be offended. Apparently, the joke teller was narrow-minded and not funny. Just ignore - it doesn't matter what you or I think - some day, he will have to meet his maker and guess what - I bet there won't be any light bulbs to screw in there!

very offensive, for some unknown reason society, or our culture, at the present, think it is OK to insult Christians, but we had better be careful what we say about alternative lifestyles. Seems like what was right, is wrong, and wrong is right. Hang in there , God never said it would be easy, but by His grace, we will make it.

That is sad that you have chosen to allow yourself to get angry over this. Even sadder that you would re-post this joke that you found offensive. Why spread the anger?
Spread love and light up the world.
