My hair has turned really dry this summer and my normal conditioner just isn't doing the job anymore. Which brand should I try so my hair's not so dry and brittle anymore?

you need to spend the extra money and buy a professional conditioner. The crap at the drug store is just that, crap! The ingredients are diluted and strip your hair of the nutrients instead of help it. Kerastase has protein that penetrates the cuticle, pureology is excellent, redken makes a conditioner called hair butter that is fabulous. Go to ulta or beauty express and look at redken, matrix biologe, or aveda cherry almond bark. Secondly, u need to deep condition it by putting on a shower cap and heating your hair with a hair dryer for 10 minutes. This gives you a deep heat condition like at the salon that's worth $50 bucks!!! Any really good conditioner will do for the shower cap method, or put the conditioner on and lay by the pool for an hour...same concept= heat! The reason the professional products are more money is because the ingredients are way better and costly to use, hence why the good stuff is $20 and the not good at target is $2.00!!! Trust me, you will love your hair when your done. My pick would be Kerastase masque #3. or Aveda cherry bark. Good luck dear!!!!

doesn't matter too much what you use, pantene is good for the money. what matters is afterwards. try finding a leave-in conditioner. this will help tremendously. avoid leaving in conditioners that aren't meant to be left in because their proteins can cause your hair to break. frizz serums help a lot, especially before blow-drying. and blow-drying and straighteners (a good ceramic one) will also help. style your hair every couple of days instead of washing daily. curly hair is more dry than straight hair and doesn't need to be washed daily.

Let Dr. Education educ8_u:
You'll want to use Aussie 3 Minute Miracle, leave on for more than the recommended 3 minutes since your hair is in the state that it is. The key is to find a product with the most NATURAL ingredients in it, not something with all those chemicals.

K-PAC Reconstruct. It is really really good. You will have to search to find it. Not all salons carry it. I don't know if you are close to a Regis Salon, but they carry it. At least once a week put it on your hair and just leave it for 20 min. Every time you wash your hair use it as regular conditioner. It does a good job.

OOO try herbal essence..if you use the shampoo, and conditioner and leave a litttttllllee bit of conditioner on your hair you should be set for a while...just enough conditioner that your hair still feels very soft not enough for you to still see all the conditioner and be all bulky

Stay away from Pantene, VO5 and Granier fructese (?)they coat the hair shaft. I really like the Aussie 3 minute miracle cream. Works wonders. Also I've been using Ethnic products. I have super thick, curly, coarse hair and they are amazing.

Without a doubt the worlds best shampoo and conditioner is Nioxon. It is available at most good hair saloons.

You should try Aussie Moist Formula. It isn't a salon name, but it works wonders. Even my stylist had to ask what I was using differently. And it's very inexpensive, you can buy it at any Target, or Walmart.

I attached the link below, for you to review. They really do have great products.
