It's pretty much a matter for the issuing financial institution. Check with them to determine what, if any, fees are imposed. If there is a fee, it would most likely be for a currency conversion.

What Vinny above is unaware of is that credit cards might possibly charge you an exchange fee such as mine did when I used it in Japan last summer. It is a small fee, but they charged it. Althought Visa/Mastercard is accepted worldwide, you're best to call your credit card company to find out.

No you can use Visa/MC anywhere in the world and not get charged a fee (aside from cost of item). The store gets charged per transaction and may get charged more for out of country use but that is not your concern.
