I would say no. They are both almost pure hydrogenated oil, which raises your bad cholesterol levels. But butter also contains whey protein, which is one of the easiest proteins for the bosy to use, and it's been shown to help the body better utilitize energy, which should help you burn off a little bit of that butter fat.
So as far as cholesterol goes, you'll find them about the same.
But I would say butter has a healthier net effect on you.

Would you eat plastic??? Well, Crisco, margarine and the likes are one molecule away from being plastic. Use butter...much better for you and make all the difference in the world as for flavor is concerned.

R U kidding???? Crisco is wayyyyy worse for u...if u want to go heart healthy....use olive oil as much as possible...U can even use it in a cake mix...and it doesnt taste funky....also canola oil is the next best choice (after olive oil)...good luck...U might want to ck. on fat substitutes on google....some recipes use applesauce, instead if oil...and that gives u the moisture...so ck. it out...
