I would use diapers. You could use the diapers and put the plastic pants over them to save the clothes and car seat from getting wet.

Always go prepared when you have a baby or kids in general. Always take more, not less. Take both diapers and rubber pants and plenty of both. You can always stop at Walmart along the way to get a fresh supply, but have plenty of snacks, water, juice and blankets and fresh cloths for the kids. Activities would be a good thing as well or something to chew on for the baby. Think ahead and use good common sense.

No matter if the trips short or long a diaper of any kind should be changed fairly often to prevent diaper rash from the skin being wet. It's not good or comfortable for a baby toddler to sit in a wet diaper. if it leaks you are not changing it enough.

diapers changed often shouldnt leak. pull ups are also good for an older child in the car they dont leak when changed often either good luck. im me if you need more info

I have tested this out, I use those "good nights", they work well for over night so, they have to work well for long trips! I wish you NO leakage!!! Sucks doesn't it....
