Not necessarly. The courts try to give you the opportunity to cop a plea within a certain time frame. It depends on his case and what he is in for too. Feolny, baby he will either go to trial (if innocent he will want to), guilty...well... you know the score.
Misdomenor, time as little as (time-served for the days already spent in jail) or a little as 30 to 180 days. I would check into what he is there for and research the sentencing on that type of case.
Good lukc.
My ole man goes to jail all the time.. Sometimes he's there 10 days then up to 6 months at a time. He's been pretty lucky.

Chances are he is sitting in jail until his actual court date and I'm thinking that it must be pretty serious if they made him sit till then. Unless he could not post bail.
On his court date July 6 he will find out if he is going to jail, getting probation or what ever. (depends on the crime)
That and If he has a past record for the same thing.
What did he do?
He might go to work release too.

Nobody knows that right now not even the judge. Why did he have to stay so long...most likely he'll get out with time served plus another court date and probation. Stay out of trouble, girl while you still free and young.

If this is his first offense for a midemeanor, then yes, he will possibly be released. But, keep in mind, that he will probably be given probation, deferred ajudication, community service, etc., that will take up much of his time for a while. If his offense is his 3rd, 4th, or beyond, or is a felony, then you may not be seeing him for a while. Let's hope he's learned something from this experience!
