What I meant was....describe for me a moment during your life where your son/daughter did something that made you think, "I love this boy/girl."

I have a 7month old girl and she is my world. She doesnt do a lot at this age. But when she smiles and sticks her tongue out. It makes me feel such immense love for her. I love her reaching for my face and when shes sleeping, I pick her up and she lays her head on my shoulders.

What cute kid or baby stories could you share that makes your heart flutter? I'd love to hear what other parents experience with their growing little ones.

When my daughter started kindergarten, she asked me to walk her in and not her mother. I teased my wife and said, "Oh, you'd just cry, anyway."

Well, I take her by the hand and lead her into the gym where she is to get in line with her class. She walked away from me without looking back. She looked so tiny. When she got in line, she was facing my general direction, but not looking at me. The look on her face was what I imagine the Rangers that landed on Normandy looked like: scared, but determined.

One look and it was Niagra Falls.

Now I get teased.

I have three little boys and I am stay at home mother so most of the time I am just trying to not go insane. However, there have been many occasions where my sons do some really cute things. My youngest son is one year old and his new thing that I love is no matter what you ask him he nods his head and grunts "Uh huh." My oldest son is four and he is so smart and everytime he learns what something new means, looks like, sounds like or is suppose to be he gets this look on his face like the whole world makes sence. And my middle son is a typical copycat child and tries to do everything that his older brother does and at the same time tries to show his younger brother like he has mastered that skill.

I have loved my daughter from the time she was born.
It is the little things that attach them so close to our hearts. Like when out of the blue they turn to you and Say I love you daddy.
Or when they are playing in the yard and pick some wild flowers or something from the yard and run up and say these are for you mommy. Or just when they simply do something new for the first time or smile at you in a special way.

My son is 11. He came home from school one day and said i made this in woodwork its a letter L. It was ****. A week later he gave me a perfect little box with a little england flag painted on it. I will treasure it forever along with his letter L. (i never forgave his nursery where they lost his first painting.)
My little girl who is 14, When my boyfriend decided it was over got the quilt and the kleenexs and snuggled up to me while we watched a sad film and had a good cry. Now she has a boyfriend and i think if he ever breaks her heart Ill break him!!! Of course i probably wont ill get the quilt and the kleenexs but let her choose the film.
My children have made my life and i could not bear life without one of them, You enjoy every precious moment you spend with your daughter. Every age is different and brings with it its own joys and pains.

i love my kids so much. I have three. a 5 year old girl, 4 year old boy and 7 year old boy. I love to watch them play. everything they do fills my heart with joy. even when they are pains in my butt! I know that some day they will be grown and not need me as much so I try and injoy the good and bad. I miss them being babies. I miss what you just said about them reaching up at my face while sleeping or eating. I miss cuddleing with them. I miss them laying their tiny heads on my sholders. I miss all that baby stuff. they are older now, and life is easy, but I miss them being babies! congrats on yours and you sound like a wonderfull mommy!

When he was younger he was a very loving, cuddly child. Now that he is an adult he is less affectionate.
But when asked by a friend why he always bought me little gifts when he was away on business he said "Because my mother is the most important person in my life & probably always will be".
How sweet is that? Incidentally his girlfriend knows & makes jokes about being his second best girl.

I have a 12 year old daughter who gives me reasons every day to love her or dislike her - but that is the nature of a 12 year old. My son is 2 and I love him more every day. I can't pinoint it because it is a different something each day - today it is because he ran to me for a hug when he heard the Barney song. I'm going to enjoy every minute I can because someday he'll be 12, too.

There are so many things that my 16 month old son does that makes me get a goofy grin on my face and think "I'm so happy to have him! I love him to pieces!" But the best one is when he comes up and gives me hugs and kisses for no reason at all. Just because he wants to. So sweet! I can't get enough of it!

Everytime they get hurt and come to me, it reminds me of why I'm a parent. Each huge achievement in their lives, that big grin on their faces. My 4 year old being so proud of herself when she gets dressed without help. My middle child when he got his first stripe in karate. My eldest when she hit the ball and was so caught up in the moment all she could do was turn around and grin at me instead of running to first base. I love how open and caring my kids are. I love how even when I discipline, they are still running to me for a hug 5 minutes later. I love seeing my husband and me mixed in their faces and their personalities. I just love them, and I'm so honored to be their mother.
