Made the drive twice and it's about 9 hrs. We crossed the border at Niagara Falls and not further east (ie Thousand Island Bridge). We were told this was the faster route.

I live in Oshawa and used to go to school in Manchester, NH which is about an hour north of Boston. Depending on the borders, and one break, it would take us about 10 hours to get there but my father drove the speed limit and we had a loaded U-Haul van as well. You can probably do Toronto (depending on where) to Boston in about 10 to maybe 11 hours driving including the border crossing. That is, unless you get someone anal at the border that decides to pull you over and search your car.
