I have suffered from urticaria (chronic hives) for years. The two best things on the market (over the counter) is 1. Claratin, and 2. Chlor-Trimeton. Zyrtec works, but it's prescription only, not cheap, and makes you sleepy. Aveeno products, particulary the oatmeal bath products, work, beautifully too. The other thing to do is to do all you can to avoid the trigger for your allergic reaction. Even reducing the exposure will help. I know the itching is a drag -- hopefully some of the above suggestions will help you out a little bit.

Take benedryl every 4-6 hours as directed on the box and use hydrocortisone cream on the hives themselves. The benedryl will stop the histamine reaction and the hydrocortisone will get rid of the redness and swelling and itching on the hives.

It isn't an allergy but a physical manifestation of stress, when certain people get too nervous they can break out in hives. The only other possibility is an allergy to perfumes.

If you are having breathing difficulties, you are having an anaphylactic reaction. You need to get to an ER.

If you can breathe, take oral benadry. At least 25 mg. for an adult, and spray yourself with the benadryl spray.

In the future avoid the allergan if you can, or you might be able to get allergy shots.

Benadryl orally, and use calamine lotion or hydrocortisone cream topically. But if that doesn't work, go see a doc, because you'll need a prescription, and it could be something more serious than just hives.

take benadryl (it may make you very drowsy) and hydrocortisone cream as directed. if the hives are severe enough you may need to go to the doctor. it sucks to have hives, but you kinda have to wait it out and not scratch it!
