Democracies supposedly treat all beliefs the same, is it true for Switzerland? how would for example the cities compare with the rural areas?

Um, yes.
I'm not sure what you're getting at...there are some anti-foreign elements in Switzerland but they tend to be anti-Muslim.
The majority of people in Switzerland are Christian; I think most non-Christians live in cities. Also, most foreigners live in cities.

As far as I know, the people of Switzerland are very welcoming. After all, they are the neutral country....remember?

Democracy has nothing to do with the way believers are treated. Got such notions out of your head.
