Al Gore's flood hasn't come yet, though according to him it will arrive soon unless we make drastic changes to our current way of living. It won't swallow the earth, but will flood low-lying areas such as coast lines and some islands. This will happen globally. Of course, Noah's flood has come and gone. Remember in the Bible how people mocked Noah up until the rains began? If you read some of the responses to Al Gore's recent featured question, you'll witness people mocking him. I just wondered if anyone here saw a parallel between the people in each case. I understand some people read the story of Noah literally, while others think of it as a myth or fable. I thought I'd share this thought of mine with you because when I see different ideas on Y!A, I enjoy thinking about them--and sometimes even responding. I appreciate your responses. Keep them coming!

Yeah, it does, but that's the way it goes with anyone who puts their necks out for a purpose. There is always someone there that will openly mock them and call them idiotic. It's funny though how God always manages to protect those people who are being mocked. I think Al Gore does good work and he should be acknowledged for his strides in global warming and other ethical issues.

Al Gore is using environmental issues as a political tool only. He could really care less. Very few scientist are on His side, actually it is really the other way around. He jumped on the band wagon with a few lunatic scientist. There are just too many environmentalist who disagree with Gore. Don't get to worked up over this unless ole Al gets elected to some powerful office.

Goodness NO!
Al Gore is pompous, self righteous & self promoting for his personal causes that have NO scientific foundation. Dang, the man said he INVENTED the internet a few years back. He had nothing to do with the inception of the internet other than sign the Congressinal bill that funded it, along with dozens of other Congress people. He's been caught in so very many lies, whoops!
Noah was a tool selected by God. Hellava difference my young liberal lemming.

al gore is often misquoted about "inventing the internet". most people don't realize that al gore is doing his best to stay out of politics. global warming is a moral issue and if you care about your planet or your children you should do what you can to reduce the level of CO2 and stop insulting a man that is only doing what he believes is right. he is not a bad person. do some research. sorry for not really answering the question.

Very good question. Gore definitely makes the thinking person take a second look at what is going on in the environment: so many floods, fires hurricanes, tsunamis, mud slides, earthquakes, etc. We must look at our behaviors ( from the fuels we use to the bombs that blast) and honestly see the correlations that could possibly exist.

No. Al Gore is a real person and Noah is a character in a fable. Otherwise, yes.

No, they remind me of the people who go to the monkey house to laugh at the monkeys. If the left-wingnut politicians would shut up, the resultant drop in hot air would cure any global warming.
